Jim Moniz 2021

James (Jim) Moniz has more almost 40 years of experience in the Radio Frequency (RF) business from RF components to complete systems. Jim began his career as design engineer developing high performance lossless feedback hybrid amplifiers for the defense and space communications sector at ANZAC Electronics. He then transitioned to the GaAs RF/MMIC product development business during the DARPA MIMIC program in the early days of Hittite Microwave. That was followed by the initial SiGe BiCMOS RFIC LNA/PA technology and product development years at IBM Microelectronics.
As a RF/MMIC designer, Jim designed numerous IC products ranging from single function GaAs/GaN MMICs (low noise and power amplifiers, attenuators, and switches) to multi-function radio transceivers (RF to baseband) utilizing advanced semiconductor technologies such as Si/SiGe BiCMOS and SOI technology.
Jim’s roles have varied from being an individual technical contributor to CTO/VP Engineering level leader at small start-up companies to very large international companies over his career.
